Morsemere Music Ministry

The music ministry of Morsemere Community Church provides music to both enhance worship and encourage congregational participation during services. Together, as a congregation, we sing traditional hymns as well as contemporary worship songs. Classical pieces are played as preludes during preparation for service, within service during periods of reflection, and during our recession from service as postludes.

The primary instrument used for worship is the Rodgers Essex 605/640 Series two manual Swell/Great/Pedal organ. To complement this instrument, the addition of a Yamaha Arius Series digital upright piano was introduced into worship, which had a formal dedication ceremony on December 1, 2019.

At Morsemere, we provide music through the expertise of an organist/music director, formal church cantor, and guest soloists and instrumentalists. The music ministry is active for the weekly Sunday 10:00 a.m. in-person service and 2:00 p.m. online worship as well as for other events throughout the year, including Vacation Bible School and an annual concert.

We are a welcoming and inviting ministry and it is our hope that the music provided at Morsemere Community Church UCC will help inspire and uplift you as one community worshiping together, lifting our voices as faithful prayers in times of sorrow and times of joy, all for the greater glory of God’s name.
