Mezzo-soprano Dr. Nicole Karrs is a recent graduate of Stony Brook University, where she earned a Doctorate in Vocal Performance.
As a young artist, Nicole has showcased her talents in both musical theatre and opera productions with regional companies such as Central Florida Lyric Opera, Nickel City Opera, Miami Music Festival, TUNDI Productions, and most recently, the Northern Lights Music Festival. Among her favorite roles are Madame de la Haltere in Cendrillon, Olga in Eugene Onegin, and La Zia Principessa in Suor Angelica.
In addition, Dr. Karrs has extensive experience in Liturgical music, performing as a cantor throughout the Tri-State area. Concert and recital work include Haydn’s Lord Nelson’s Mass, Handel’s Messiah, and Faure’s Requiem.
